From our carefully aged steaks, grilled to perfection, to our spare ribs that literally fall off the bone, the Hussar Grill has gained respect of meat-lovers all over the country. In addition to our legendary beef, game and venison cuts, you will also find a selection of poultry, seafood and salads to choose from as well as an assortment of desserts and a range of quality Italian coffees on offer.
Our butchers and game farmers source only South African Class-A grain-fed beef and wild game cuts for our menu. The Hussar Grill owners and management staff are passionately involved in the maturation, trimming and preparation of all grills each day. Our beef is hung on the carcass for up to seven days, before being wet aged in our cold rooms for varying periods of up to thirty-five days. All of our cuts are brushed with our signature basting for that distinctive and succulent flavour you adore.
We are proud recipients of a most prestigious Diners Club Platinum Status Award for our wine selection. Each individual wine is allocated with the most recent gradings from the Platter’s Wine Guide, the cellar’s geographical location as well as the alcohol by volume content for each wine (AVB). Our selection also includes a fairly extensive selection of wine by the glass, which we change on a regular basis to accommodate new estates and recent award winners. Although our wine list is fairly extensive, you are also welcome to bring your own wine with absolutely no corkage charge.
