Located in the GrandWest Entertainment, Casino and Hotel complex, The Hussar Grill GrandWest has a touch of the familiar, with a subtle distinctiveness that whisks one away to the moody and evocative cobblestone streets of Old World Europe. While quietly revelling in culinary splendour, casually observing the passers-by, one could be forgiven for imagining a chance encounter with Descartes, Emerson or Rousseau. Imagined or not, one’s experience will remain eternally satisfying.

"Evening with Friends"

We had supper at Hussar Gril last week. Like always, it was an awesome experience. The staff were friendly, the place was packed and the ambience fantastic. We all had their famous Steak Tartare as a starter (one of the few places that serve that), and the meat was fresh, and all the trimmings and spices excellent to complement the raw meat. The steaks for mains were really tender and tasty. The chips were crisp. And a real plus is that they charge no corkage. A real recommendation!

It is one of our favourite places. The staff is always so friendly and very efficient. Entering the restaurant you feel immediately very welcome. The food is always of the high standard, excellent!!! It is always a pleasure to visit The Hussar Grill in Durbanville, Willowbridge.

We often visit this restaurant with family and friends and have become "part of the family". Management and staff are extremely friendly and efficient and the food is always of a very high standard. We have introduced a large number of people, both local and from overseas, to this restaurant and have always received most favourable comments. While the wine list is good, there is no corkage charge should one wish to BYO. A very reasonable light lunch menu is available.

"50 years old & still going strong"

Seldom will you find a fine dining experience with a 50 year heritage. The original Hussar Grill in Rondebosch opened in 1964 and I have dined there since 1984. I never thought that its "offspring" would be able to match its excellence, but I was pleasantly surprised at lunch on 25 September. Elegant décor, excellent service and awesome food made this one of the best dining experiences that I have experienced in a very long time. Although I did not take my own wine, a big plus is that Hussar never charges corkage, so this should add to the appeal.
